Golden, earthy and packed with goodness, our Lakadong Turmeric Powder is sourced directly from the village of Mulih near Lakadong (nestled in the West Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya). It is grown in the Jaintia Hills without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. With an outstanding curcumin content of 7–12% (compared to 3–4% in regular turmeric), this variety is globally recognized for its potency & deep, rich color. Further, hand-harvested by women farmers using time honored traditions, the rhizomes are sun-dried and hand-sliced, never boiled to retain their full natural power. Thus, from daily curries to golden milk, every pinch releases a warm, earthy aroma and a deep, authentic flavor bringing not just color & taste, but a soulful touch of tradition to every meal.

SOURCING & TRADITIONAL PROCESS
A1 Grade, Sun-dried Lakadong Turmeric, sourced directly from farmers in Mulih village, West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya.
Traditionally ground using Okhali-Musai and Stone Grinding on a Vedic Chakki at Room Temperature, with No Heat generated preserving Vital Nutrients, Natural Flavor & Aroma.
USAGE
Add to daily curries, dals, sabzis and stews for rich flavor and vibrant color. Mix into warm milk with honey/desi khand/khandsari (Haldi Doodh). Combine with black pepper to enhance curcumin absorption. Use in herbal teas or golden milk recipes. Can also be added to smoothies, soups, or herbal teas for a daily wellness boost.
NOTE: Use just 1/3rd the amount of Lakadong turmeric compared to regular turmeric, as it is highly concentrated in flavor and color.
